Mr. Saikat Maiti is an Image analyst at the UXO, India. He completed his bachelor degree (2010) from University of Calcutta, Kolkata and masters (2012) from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in Geography. His masters project was entitled “Avulsion of River Jalangi and Formation of Cut-off”. Before joining the UXO, he joined as trainee at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO, Dehradun for mid career training course on Geoinformation science and Earth Observation with specialization on Natural Hazard and Disaster Risk Management (JEP of IIRS and ITC, Netherlands). During his post graduate diploma (2013-2014) at IIRS he developed a project entitled “Development of Hydrological Tool for Flood Peak Estimation Using Open Source Geospatial Tool”. Saikat Maiti has doing a general project entitled “A Geo-environmental Appraisal of the Paro Dzong, Bhutan”. He also completed a certificate course on Natural Hazard and Disaster Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He recently resides at Panvel, Navi Mumbai.
Miss. Kalpana Pardeshi is a postgraduate in M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) from University of Pune, Pune. She obtained her postgraduate degree in M.A. (Geography) from University of Pune. She also has completed an advanced course on “Geoweb Services-Technology and Applications” conducted by IIRS (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing) on March 2013. She has good command in various software such as ArcGIS 9.3, ERDAS Imagine 9.2, ArcView GIS 3.2a, Autodesk Map 5, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-Geo-RAS toolbar. She has awareness of equipment such as Garmin GPS-72. She has delivered expert lectures at National Water Academy, Pune. She has attended and presented papers at various national conferences. Her areas of interest include Coastal and Applied Geomorphology, Flood Modeling, Watershed Management, Drought, Applications of Remote Sensing and GIS.
Mr. Sagar Gawade obtained his M.A. degree in Geography from University of Pune, Pune. Subsequently, he obtained his postgraduate degree in M.Sc. (Geoinformatics) from University of Pune, Pune. He also has completed an advanced course on “Geoweb Services-Technology and Applications” conducted by IIRS (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing) on March 2013. He has completed an advanced diploma in Computer Designing, Accounting and Programming. He has attended and presented papers in various national conferences and has delivered expert lectures at National Water Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune. He has expertise in GIS and RS applications in Water, Land Use Land Cover, Electricity Mapping and Road Mapping. In addition to above, he has good profeciency in various software such as ArcGIS 9.3, ERDAS Imagine 9.2, Autodesk Map 5, ArcView GIS 3.2a, HEC-RAS, HEC-Geo-RAS, HEC-HMS.
Mr. M. Dhananjayan is an Image Analyst at UXO – India Urban Expansion Observatory, Mahatma Education Society, Navi Mumbai. He received his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and M.Tech. in Remote Sensing in Anna University. After which he became a project associate (GIS) in the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chennai. He is responsible for digitization, mapping, analysis and MIS Integration in GIS. After his 1.5 years of career in NITTTR as project associate (GIS), he has joined as an Image Analyst at UXO-India, Navi Mumbai. Apart from as a Project Associate he conducted GIS Training Classes for Overseas Training Course Participants in NITTTR, Chennai. Currently he resides in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Mr. Nithin Mankar completed M.Sc. Geoinformatics from University of Pune, Pune. He has completed research on “Spatio Temporal Analysis in Daund Tahsil from Geography Department of Pune University, under the guidance of Dr. B.C. Vaidya. He was working with TomTom India Pvt. Ltd, as Digital Cartographer. He has completed an advanced training course on “Geoweb Services – Technology and Applications” conducted by IIRS, Dehradun and has presented paper entitled “Problem of agriculture in Pargaon village”, in the National Seminar on Problem and Prospect of Agricultural Development in India organized by Department of Geography, Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Collage, Kolhapur, Hupari.
S. Rashmita Patro completed her B.Sc.(IT) from Kuvempu University, Karnataka in 2009 and simultaneously completed GNIIT from NIIT. She began her career in 2010 at COWI INDIA Pvt. Ltd. in Gurgaon, Haryana as GIS associate and worked as a Quality Manager at her company. She was one of the key members of an organization which is working with simulation projects using GIS, LiDAR and Mobile mapping for the first time in India.
Mr. Rajamohan is an Image Aanlyst at UXO-INDIA. He has acquired his M.Tech. degree in Remote Sensing from Anna University, Chennai in 2015 and B.Tech. degree in Geotechnology and Geoinformatics from Bharathidasan University, Trichy in 2013 and. He did his project dissertations on “Remote Sensing Based Geomorphological Investigations and Evaluation of Erosion / Acccretion Pattern Along the Southern Karnataka Coast” and ” Landslide Hazard Zonation Using Geospatial Technology in parts of Kodaikanal Hill Region, Tamilnadu, He underwent training on Surveying at PG and Research Department of Geology, National College, Trichy, open source web GIS at Anna University, Chennai and AutoCAD civil 3D Program conducted by Capricot Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. He undergone in plant Training on Mining at SAIL India Ltd., Salem and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) Cauvery Asset- Karaikal and attended workshop in the ISRO-NRSC sponsored “Bhuvan” which held at Bangalore University and Flood Inundation Mapping and Damage Assessment” conducted by Centre for Disaster Mitigation and Management(CDMM), VIT University, Vellore. Following this, he participated and presented papers on the title Groundwater Potential Zone in hard rock region of Salem using Remote Sensing and GIS and Mineral exploration Using Remote Sensing Techniques. Published his research paper on “Landslide Hazard Zonation Using Geospatial Technology in Parts of Kodaikanal Hill Region, Tamilnadu, India” in Disaster, Risk and Vulnerability Conference 2014, Dept of Geology, University of Kerala, Trivandrum, ISBN 9788192344928. He have hands on experience with Total station, Mobil GPS, Resistivity survey and Ground water depth indicator. He is more enthusiastic to work in Geospatial domain. He has good proficiency in various software like ArcGIS, Quantum GIS, Global Mapper, Erdas Imagine, ENVI. His area of interest include watershed management, urban sprawl, coastal geomorphology and disaster mitigation management.
Mr. Salmanul Faris is working as an image analyst with UXO India. He finished his BA Geography from Calicut University in Kerala and MSc Applied Geography from Bharathiar University in Tamil Nadu, Also he received Certified Course in GIS & Remote Sensing from M.G. University in Kerala and B.Ed. in Geography from Kerala University. Before joining with UXO, he worked as a Remote sensing and GIS Engineer in Excel Geomatics Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi since April 2014 to May 2015. During this period he has done different projects like land use and land cover clutters from different countries .He also done some projects like, GIS and Remote sensing based approach for the Regional Planning and Spatio – temporal changes on demographic characteristics in 2001–2011, in case study of Tamil Nadu during his academic period. He is interested in playing and watching sports and listening music.
Ms. Jyoti Tirodkar received her post graduate from IIT Bombay and completed her bachelors degree from Mumbai Unviersity. She worked on Shoreline Management and Planning of Mumbai coast through geoinformatics tools as a part of masters thesis. She started her carrer in year 2009 in telecom company as a project engineer. She has 1 year teaching experience in an engineering college. She has expertise in project planning, Arc GIS, ERDas Imagine, EnviSat. She has presented papers in various international and national conferences and journals.
Mr. Yognandham is working as an Image analyst at UXO, India. He completed Post Graduation in Master of Remote Sensing Technology from Anna University Chennai, Tamilnadu. He received his Under Graduation in Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Anna University Chennai. He done his M.Tech. project in watershed management. The project describes about the various ground water problems in Hosur, Tamilnadu and some remedial measures to raise the ground water using remote sensing and GIS technology. The project was done using software’s like Arcmap, Erdas imagine, ENVI 4.7. GPS and Total station were used to collect points in project area. His project paper is to be published in INDEX international conference conducted by Adhiyamaan College, Hosur. He done his under graduation project on designing of Hospital building and Design of suitable foundation by Soil investigation and he underdone survey camp conducted in Chennai to know the details of traffic, rural area and urban area. He has undergone soil investigation training in VELCITI Consulting Engineers, Chennai and completed Auto CAD civil 3D course from AUTODESK training center. He is one of the Indian Red Cross Society member during Under Graduation. Watershed management, transportation and urbanization management are His area of interest.
